My Diego Bike

Along with Tigger and the guitar, Nate is obsessed with his Diego Bike. It's Luke's old bike, complete with training wheels, and although Nate cannot mount it on his own, once he is on top, there's no coming down. The boy LOVES his Diego bike. One morning he woke up knowing how to pedal his little tricycle, and a few days later he had discarded the thing for the big-boy version. World- watch out! Here comes Natey!

Cooking!

I have a habit of hiding toys when the kids get them for their birthdays or Christmas. It's so much fun to pull these presents out three months after the fact! Recently we pulled down a remote control Monster Truck given to us by Kiki, and it provided an afternoon of delight- especially for Daddy!!!! This weekend, I pulled out a pizza making kit that the Ballards had given us and we made homemade pizza. And then, once we got cooking, we decided to make cookies, too! Both the boys took turns helping out, and we had a lovely day in the kitchen!

Future Rock Star

Today I found Luke's electric guitar up in the closet and pulled it down for Nate to try. It had been several months since we had seen it last, since it was previously too big and heavy and just lead to frustration for our little Rock Star. Check out his musical literacy. He's a genius.

Darth Maul

After yesterday's Disneyland Adventure, Luke decided he wanted to face paint himself as Darth Maul and wield his new double light-sabre. Then, we headed to the park where he both awed and terrified the neighborhood children. Good times.

The Magic Kingdom

Today we took a ditch day and headed to Disneyland for our annual trip, courtesy of our fantastic Nana. What a blast we had! Becoming bolder with age, Luke rode Star Tours (twice) and Indiana Jones, and the minimal crowds allowed us to enjoy the rides as a family... Haunted House, Winnie the Pooh, Small World, the train, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan, Nemo's submarine, Buzz, Jungle Cruise, and more! Our highlights were meeting the characters, seeing the street show, and Luke participating in Jedi Training Camp. Nate goes positively BONKERS for Tigger .

It was such a perfect day that I decided to get myself a season pass so that Nate, who is free until he's three, and I can enjoy the park whenever we'd like. CAN'T WAIT !

It really is the Magic Kingdom, and just thrilling to experience through the eyes of a child.
