The Magic Kingdom

It was fun to see Disney World, and to examine the similarities and differences between it and our own beloved Disneyland. Although our verdict is that Disneyland is WAY better, we still enjoyed exploring the Magic Kingdom at Disney World. Above, Daddy and Luke enjoy the train ride through the park, in the background is the entrance to Disney World, where most people arrive by boat, bus or monorail.
The boys are imprisoned with Zurg, outside the Buzz Lightyear ride...

Old School! So excited to ride the people mover!!!!

Luke and Nate both took the pirate oath and got to join Captain Jack Sparrow's crew!

Epcot

When we originally planned our trip, we hadn't included Epcot on our itinerary. I think it ended up being my favorite park. There are some fun and different rides and adventures (the Time Travel up into that Epcot symbol, and Nemo), but the greatest part is walking through the different worlds. There was live music everywhere- we briefly saw a Scottish band performing in their kilts! Then, there were interactive areas and GREAT places to eat. We chose to eat at the authentic Hofbrau House, of course, and enjoyed the Oktoberfest band that played throughout our meal. The beers were big and the dance floor hopping! With the time difference in our favor, we were able to stay out fairly late and enjoy the park at night. Above, Luke is sitting outside of China.
Here are the boys at the Hofbrau House!

Nate plays the drums in Africa.

Luke boogies to the band after our delicious sausage dinner.

The boys were eaten by Bruce after riding Nemo.
Epcot rocks!!!!

Our Disney World Adventure

To kick off 2011, we were fortunate enough to vacation for a week at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Daddy's player, Marqise Lee, was invited to play at the Under Armour All American football game, which meant that Daddy's flight and hotel were paid for! We enjoyed 5 glorious nights at the Coronado Springs Disney Resort, where the service was top-notch. There were fountains everywhere, and a giant lake in the middle of the resort. The pool included a giant Mayan temple, a water slide, a kids pool with fountains, an arcade, and a playground that even Indiana Jones himself would have enjoyed!

All of our passes to the Disney parks were included so we visited all of them: Epcot, Animal Kingdom, the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The bus from our hotel was complimentary, and took us anywhere in the resort we wanted to go- we even had the chance to check out Downtown Disney, where we played at the lego store and ate at the T-Rex Cafe.

This was the BEST vacation ever. We had a blast!!!!! Now that we're home, Nate keeps asking when we're going back to the hotel!

While in Orlando, we got to spend a lot of time with our friends Jackson, Stephanie, and Grace. Since they recently moved to Florida, they waited for our visit so we could experience the parks together. We were so glad to have friends to share the adventure!

This is Nate at the children's pool at our hotel. His face says it all!

This is the temple at the pool- it had water running down it, and a water slide wrapped around the back!
