Cousin Matthew

Recently sweet baby Matthew came for an overnight visit at our house. We had a great time exploring the farmers market, watching Luke's football game, playing in the backyard, and eating bananas! One night we even dropped all the kids off at her parents night out, where Matthew quickly wooed and wowed the ladies who were watching him. Because my own cousins mean so much to me, it's great that my boys have a chance to bond with their cousin in this way. The only downside was Nate, who found himself a bit of the middle child over the weekend. for his sake, I guess it's good we're done at two!

The Disneyland Hotel

What an amazing weekend we had at the Disneyland Hotel! One of the Serra football parents, Daniel Dodd, gifted us a night at the hotel, where we enjoyed the pool, the cool room, and a breakfast with the Disney characters at Goofy's kitchen. The boys, pictured above, loved the headboard above the beds, which lit up to look like fireworks exploding over the park.

Scott and I both were able to get front row seats by the monorail pool, where we sipped on adult beverages while the kids had the time of their lives in the fountains, spray, and on the slides.

When we first arrived at the hotel, Goofy and Pluto were out front to greet us! It was the first of many encounters with the Disney crew!

After a fun night at Downtown Disney, where we enjoyed an outdoor Octoberfest and explored the Lego store, we awoke to more dining adventures. At Goofy's Kitchen, we ate Mickey waffles while hanging out with the very beautiful Cinderella. We also met Chip and Dale, Baloo, Gepetto, and so many more Disney characters.

It was a weekend spent at the Happiest Place on Earth- truly!!!
