Alaskan Ports

While on our cruise last summer we stopped in many beautiful ports and had many amazing adventures! Below, the kids cool off outside the government buildings in Victoria.
And we celebrated Luke's 9th birthday in Victoria, as well. We found a great sushi restaurant, after a day if watching street magicians- they were having a festival in town!
In Skagway we took a small boat whale watching, and spent an hour in a little bay watching a humpback whale.
In Juneau, we hiked to Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls. The trail and the views were amazing!
In Ketchikan we explored the visitor center, saw a cool Lumberjack Show, and hiked around Creek Street and up to the fish ladder. We saw the salmon swimming upstream- those fish are strong and fast!!!

Crystal Cove

We enjoyed a weekend at the beach cottage this year, in unit 16, The Sand Castle. The weather was beautiful, and the company even better! With family, friends, and the BBQ crew, we enjoyed floating on boogie boards, finding jacuzzis in the tide pools, painting our faces with zinc oxide, hiking up to the Ruby's Shake Shack, and enjoying sunset from the deck of our cottage. The boys played baseball all weekend in the sand... And none of us can wait to go back!
