Breakfast

Breakfast is one of my favorite times with the boys. Everything is still quiet in the world, and there is peace in the house before the frenetic daytime energy takes hold. Sometimes I look over at my boys during breakfast, and they are slurping their oatmeal, eating the butter only off the tops of their waffles, or licking their yogurt bowls, and I am totally filled with joy.

Ensenada

Our day trip to Ensenada was sort of a bust. BUT, also, not. The kids got to pose with all these cool creatures, including Viagra Man. Scott and Luke got matching
ponchos. Nate got a new guitar, which he would stop to play in the streets. We explored a beachside resort, paid money to hang out, and then asked for a refund when we realized we were lacking the appropriate bathing suits. We rode in a horse and carriage. We saw a ton of sea lions lounging on the dock in the harbor.
The best part: heading back to the near empty ship in time for lunch, and hanging at the pool, where Luke made friends with a bunch of girls in the jacuzzi. There was a water balloon game, and Luke made sure that all the girls had water balloons to hold and play with in the jacuzzi. What a charmer!

Cabo

Our first Port of Call on our cruise was Cabo San Lucas, and the day was glorious!! After a short water taxi ride from the terminal, we hit the Melia, our favorite resort in Cabo. The Melia allowed us to crash at their beach bar and use their pool, so we enjoyed the cabanas, the sand, the chips and salsa and yummy guacamole, Jenny's Bean Snack, fresh sushi, the swimming, and the drinks!! Luke got to hold these giant iguanas. And then, he and Shyla enjoyed the beach:

The Cruise

We were so lucky to be able to spend our Spring Break on a 5 day cruise to Cabo and Ensenada with our family. We traveled with Aunt Lindsey, Rod, Mike, Jenny, Shyla, Grampa Burt, Gramma Laurie, Great Grandma Aileen and her friend Gail, Don and Mimi (Auntie Sherry). What a wonderful time we had! Here is our ship, the Carnival Elation!

Here is Nate by the ship's pool with Grandma. He had his face painted at Camp Carnival, which he visited several times during our trip!

Here is the lovely view from our dining table!

Easter

The Easter Bunny has visited our house and left many Easter surprises! We enjoyed playing with our baskets and going on an Easter Egg hunt. Then, we travelled to down Grandma Laurie's, where we got to play at the park, go on ANOTHER Easter Egg hunt, and enjoy a delicious brunch. Thank you Easter Bunny!

Cheesecake Factory

This week Bumpa invited us out for dinner, and Luke suggested the Cheesecake Factory, which is his new favorite restaurant. Since it is down by the beach, Luke wanted to wear his Captain Jack costume. We took some cool pictures, walked around the Harbor, and then enjoyed some bowtie pasta with our Bumpa- a perfect afternoon!
