Dog Sledding

Today was our last day in Mammoth, and we got to go dog sledding for an hour at Smokey Bear Flats! Bumpa tagged along to take some photos and play in the snow. Our musher, Mike, was a great tour guide, and the dogs were loving and friendly. The kids loved playing with the 30 dogs at the site, as well as riding in the sled. Every so often on the trail, the dogs would stop and cover themselves with snow, to cool off. They also would pass gas from time to time (apparently they eat hot soup for breakfast, which runs right through them)! This was truly a once in a lifetime experience, and something that we could all enjoy together... the perfect way to end our Mammoth adventure!
