What an amazing adventure we had in Mammoth this year! We drove up on Friday and the boys were great in the car. We stopped in
Olancha to stretch and refuel ,and were greeted by a windstorm that positively thrilled the boys. Luke found a flaming hot snow beanie at the gas station that we decided to buy- and boy does he look cool. On the 395 it started to snow, and since I have never driven in snow, it was an interesting experience. Once off 395, we needed chains, so we paid the man to put them on and continued to Nana and
Grampa Hal's condo at the 1849.

On our first morning, we dressed the kids and let them play in the area just outside the condo. They had about two feet of fresh now to play in, and several hours of good weather until the snow began again.

Right across the street from the condo is a great little area between buildings for sledding. On our last day, our
Bumpa joined the boys for some fun sledding!

Luke took lessons for the third season, and has completed level 1 of 6. This means that he can do basic skiing, stop well using the snow plow (or pizza slice), and even can ski small moguls (he calls them bumps). Here he is with Megan, whose family joined us again this year on our adventure. We love travelling with the
Clarks and going to have breakfast at The Stove!
We are always looking forward to our next adventure in the snow!
