I just found out I am going to be a professor at LMU, and Luke was as excited as I was. We celebrated by playing one of my favorite childhood games, "School". Luke dressed up in a tie and suit and put on Daddy's shoes. Then he directed me in rug time, and asked me to work quietly while he typed on the laptop. He typed: "Happy Birthday. It is your birthday lets celebrate." Despite the joyousness of his typed message, he actually was very serious, professional, and composed.
He also was quite taken with the Shakespeare Anthology. He wanted to know all about the "stories" inside (a proud moment for me!).
Perhaps he has a true future as a teacher (it is in his blood, after all)!
